Pen name mystery for Choc Lit
26.09.12 | Katie Allen
Independent women’s fiction publisher Choc Lit is to publish a title by two authors who have never met. World rights in Beneath an Irish Sky were bought directly from the authors Liv Thomas and Valerie Olteanu. Thomas is from Southampton and Olteanu from Burnaby in Canada, and the authors met on an online forum. They wrote the debut novel through email and telephone conversations over six years. Beneath an Irish Sky is set in a small village in the north of England, and in the south of Ireland. It follows a vengeful Irish Traveller who is “hell-bent” on destroying the wealthy family he believes rejected him and his mother. Choc Lit described it as “a family drama, with elements of romance and mystery”.
The novel will be published in August 2013 under the pen name Isabella Connor.
